Fall of Efrafa was a DIY crust punk band, that existed between 2005 and 2009. Our music was based around a loose interpretation of the novel Watership Down, by Richard Adams, a homage and interpretation of the story, with themes of emancipation, egalitarianism and the values of cooperation explored within the lyrics.
Alongside Steve, Mikey, Neil and George as the musicians, I was the vocalist, and lyricist in the band and I also created much of the artwork, crude, pagan motifs of rabbit gods, totems of a byzantine, Leporine society on the brink of collapse.
Contained within this book are rescued artefacts from the very beginning, original artwork, sketches and scribbles, recent recreations and the finished lyrics to an album we never made. It is a love letter to a band that changed my life, that remains a source of inspiration and creativity, many years after it ended.
